About Tokiko
Discover our tableware or decorative object, the Bayonne mug.
Our enamel mug with the Bayonne city map is made of metal and handcrafted. The irregular appearance of the sheet metal and possible chips in the enamel are normal and give them a vintage look.
This dinnerware is unbreakable. It can be cleaned in the dishwasher, but it is not microwave safe!
A brief history...
First, Bayonne is a city in the Basque Country. It is located in southwestern France, at the confluence of the Nive and Adour rivers. Also, the historic district of Grand Bayonne is characterized by its narrow medieval streets, where the Gothic Cathedral Notre-Dame (or Sainte-Marie), with its 13th-century cloister, and the Château-Vieux are located.
On the other side of the Nive, in the Petit Bayonne district, is the Basque Museum and Museum of the History of Bayonne, dedicated to the arts, crafts, and traditions of the region.
A historic city of confluences, heritage and commercial, a city of character and art de vivre... Whatever the conditions, Bayonne has always been a city focused on tourism throughout its history.
As a reminder,
Tokiko is a young French brand from Saint-Jean-de-Luz in the Basque Country. We offer hand-illustrated city maps from our workshop. Then, they are printed on a series of products and decorative items made of beautiful materials. Furthermore, carefully detailed and highly identifiable, the map becomes a pattern, design, modern and elegant with a unique style. Finally, this concept adapts to all places with a strong local identity, as well as to places with a strong tourist appeal.
